Strength

Do you think you’re tough, kid?

You’re not as tough as a mom.

Sure, they are loving, but it takes strength to love.

It takes strength to set their needs aside to raise a child.

It takes strength to wave goodbye as part of them leaves to go do something, be someone, somewhere else.

And it takes strength to wave goodbye in an airport terminal as a piece of them walks through security and across an ocean, to a place on the other side of the planet.

Here’s to tough moms.
