Children in any culture can be obnoxious.
In our American apartment, there were several children who enjoyed the gaiety of playing with their outdoor voices, or simply yelling on the top of their lungs for no particular reason.
The bundles of joy in our apartment here in Egypt (there are approximately five of them) have a game.
The name of this game is “Run and Scream.”
There are three rules.
Rule #1 Run
Rule #2 Scream
Rule #3 If someone’s mother yells at you to stop, play “Scream and Run,” which has essentially the same rules in a different order.
