Them

If you want to attend the American University in Cairo, there’s something your ego is going to need to comes to terms with.

Everyone else is gorgeous.

Yes, it’s true. It has been a lesson in humility, walking through that campus.

Past all of them.

 

With their broad shoulders, dark hair, and skin with an entirely consistent tan.

They have an advantage clothing-wise as well; designer jeans and tight t-shirts are practically the uniform.

And if that’s not enough, oh no, there’s more.

When they speak, it’s a deep, powerful sound that resonates through brick and concrete.

I don’t understand what they’re saying (in Arabic), but it sounds so meaningful and manly.

It’s absolutely ridiculous.

 

I’m just glad I married Bry before we came here.
