Luxor: Medinet Habu

And so begins the first of several posts regarding our trip to Luxor in August.

Medinet Habu is the mortuary temple/symbolic fort of Ramesses III (20th Dynasty), and is located on the west bank of Thebes. It is very large and remains impressively intact after thousands of years. (photos arranged from front to back of temple) I had been to Luxor before this summer but hadn’t made it to Habu yet – definitely should be on the list of top 5 things to see in Luxor!
